What is Belmundo?
Belmundo is a daily soccer prediction game. Each match-day we serve five matches. You swipe each — home, draw, away — in under thirty seconds. We tell you how the world swiped right before you. At full-time, you find out who you read better than. No money, no betting, all bragging rights.
The promise
The morning ritual takes thirty seconds. You wake up, you tap five times, you go to work. Then your phone buzzes when your matches end. You watched a tournament alongside thousands of strangers who also called Brazil. Then you climbed past 1,840 of them because Argentina did exactly what you said they would.
What we are not
- Not a sportsbook. We never take wagers. No money changes hands on a call. That keeps us out of gambling regulation in most markets and opens us to the enormous audience that won't or can't bet.
- Not a fantasy league. There are no rosters, no transfers, no waiver wires. You just call matches.
- Not affiliated with FIFA, UEFA, any league, club, or governing body. We're an independent fan game.
Who built this
Four co-founders: Simon, Michael, Tamir, Daniel. We shipped before the 2026 FIFA World Cup because the World Cup is the best onboarding event a soccer product will ever get — and we wanted a daily ritual already living on phones the morning of June 11.
Why the name
Belmundo — beautiful world. The whole planet watching the same matches at the same time is the closest thing to a global ritual that still exists. We wanted a name that traveled.
How we make money
Pro tier — $3.99/month. Free is genuinely complete: the full daily five, score predictions, streaks, live slip, leaderboards, friend leagues, the share card. Pro is for the obsessed: deeper accuracy stats, unlimited streak-freezes, host larger friend leagues, a bonus 6th match from outside your chosen mode, and premium share-card themes.
Pro is not a paywall on the basic game. The free daily ritual is what produces the share card that drives all our growth — cripple free and we kill acquisition.
The team's first principles
- Boring tech, polished surface. Next.js, Supabase, Stripe, Cloudflare. Nothing fancy under the hood. Everything you see has been buffed.
- No dark patterns. No infinite scroll. No streak guilt-trips. No haptic-buzz misuse. The product is a thirty-second morning ritual — if we extend that to ten minutes we've broken it.
- Trust the call. Five matches. Three picks each. Done. We will not add a sixteenth "feature" if it dilutes the swipe.
